Guest House

Did I ever mention that we once owned a small guest house? We did. Dawn had always dreamed of owning a B&B. We lived on two hundred beautiful acres about seventy miles east of Dallas. It was a great place with rolling hills, ponds and a private lake.

Dawn loves to cook and on many occasions we hosted family reunions, wedding receptions and parties. People always commented on how they enjoyed coming out to the country to get away from the hustled and bustle of the city. After living in the country a couple of years and hearing the comments from visitor’s about visiting such a peaceful and relaxing place, we decided to build a guest house. This guest house would be different. We wanted to cater to woman who wanted to get away from it all.

We served three meals a day and furnish all the peace and quiet anyone could stand. Our guest could spend the day on the porch relaxing, reading a good book, fish the ponds and lakes that were stocked with bass or spending the day in bed.

We were able to do this for a few years before Dawn's father became ill and we moved in with him. We ended up selling that property and staying in the Dallas area.
