We're Going to Make It!

Thanks for all your concerning comments.

After suffering almost a full week of fever, constant sinus drainage and uncontrollable coughing we decided we better see a doctor. We were convinced we were dying of the flu, since neither of us have gone for our flu shot.

The doctor says we're NOT going to die, we have a terrible case of the bacteria stuff that is going around. She gave us some antibiotics and cough meds and told us to go home and rest.  Rest! We have worn huge holes in the sofa and the recliner from all the resting we've been doing!

Maybe now we'll be able to get a full night sleep. It has been a very long week.

We should be back on our feet real soon.

  7. YOWZAS!! Rest is great and all, but too much rest and I start feeling like I'm going to scale the walls! I'm glad you saw the doctor though and that you at least know you're gonna get through this petri dish stage! Hope you have someone to make you hot soup and pass you the Kleenex box!!

  9. I'm sorry you have been both so sick. It's really bad when you're both sick at the same time and don't have anyone to take care of you. Hang in there!

  10. Sounds like you will hopefully be returning to good health. Don't you just hate being sick? I'm so tired of coughing. I had the same thing a year ago and it took me about a month to get over it.

  14. Once those cough bugs get a hold of you, it seems the only cure is time. I'm sure with your meds and rest you'll soon be on the road to a full recovery even though it will take some time.

  16. It's amazing what antibiotics will do, and so quickly - you'll be on the mend before you know it. (I always wonder why I wait soooo long before seeing the doctor.)
