Last Garage Sale! ! ! ! ! !

22 Days Left!!!!!

We did it! We suffered through our last garage sale. It really wasn’t all that bad. Dawn smoked a brisket while we were having the garage sale. That alone will draw a crowd!

We sold almost everything on Friday. Saturday we shut it down our last garage sale at 1:00 P.M.

We’ve meet a lot of people and made new friends this past year doing these garage sales.

Sunday morning we were moving in slow motion. We were so tired.  We stood in the garage and giggled about how much STUFF we have moved through our garage in the past couple of years with all these garage sales. We can now see the garage floor!

We bagged and boxed up what was left over and suddenly I had an idea that maybe my mom might want to take the remainder of this stuff to her house and have a garage sale. It was already had priced. It would give her a little extra cash in her pocket if she took it home and had her own sale. I called her and she agreed that it sounded like a great idea.

Mom came by on her way home from grand dog sitting at my sisters and we had a nice lunch of brisket, potato salad, baked beans and corn on the cob.
We will miss having our garage sales. NOT!!!!!

Dawn made a trip to the local charity to drop off some things this morning and tomorrow we'll make a dumpster visit.

Now we have to finish packing up.

We are not in this alone. We have blog friends that are going through this right now and we wish them all the luck. We know that Gin and Syl had a garage sale and sold everything in record time.

Al and Karen have also been having garage sales and have a contract on their house. George and Laurie are packing up and doing some touch up work at their place. Paul and Marti are also busy having sales and getting stuff packed up. Teri just bought her new RV and is about to start her new adventure. Catherine and JoBeth have put their house on the market and Brenda and Karin are doing some household purging.

Look out world, there will soon be a new group of fulltimers out on the road.
