Open for Business

Lavon, Texas
Weather Conditions; Cloudy, 68 degrees

We’ve been busy. The park opened April 1st.

Prior to the park opening, we moved our fiver back across the street to our last summer site.

We’re out of practice. When we’re on the road traveling we can load up and be on the road in no time. After sitting for a while it takes longer to get everything situated and hooked up.

We did get moved and set-up. We also painted the storage buildings and mowed the gate attendant sites.

We’ve had so much rain since the first of the year that the grass and weeds have taken off.

The blue bonnets are beautiful!

Matter of fact, it has rained so much that the lake has gone from half full to a few feet low.

The boat ramp at our park is now open and the campers are pouring in.

We’re predicting our last season here will be a busy one!

Dawn has pulled her atlas out and is already planning our path out of here this fall. While Dawn does that, Odis is checking Google for 5 star Doggie Parks

  1. I sure love those Indian Paintbrush and Texas Bluebonnets...I would be with Dawn, planning our next trip..In fact, in order to get any reservations in Florida at some state parks, you plan one year ahead..and Army Corps Parks (of which they are few and far between there) you can only reserve 6 months prior...So to have reservations in December, I start in June...sheesh!

  2. Hey hi guys :) We're a few weeks away from heading out from CA. Have a gig in Montana for the summer before we head to Amazon in KY for the fall/winter. Looking for a paying job starting January somewhere south. Have a good season!
