1958 The Year of Dawn



Americas first satellite was launched from Cape Canaveral. This is also the year that the Microchip first developed which is the very early stages of PC's we all now use at work and at home.

The cost of a new house cost $8,450.00, the average income per year was $3,210.00 to  $5,010.00, a gallon of gas was 18 cents and by 1959 was 25 cents.
