Waiting for Flood Water to Recede

The flood water is receding at a very slow pace. Lavon Lake is 11.5' over flood today.

It will be a while before Lavonia Park is back to normal.

This is the road into the lower camping area in Loop A. There is a covered picnic table that is under water.

Memorial Day Weekend Flooding

We are still loosing camp sites by the day here at Lavon Lake Lavonia Park. Currently we have closed 5 sites due to flooding. 

The forecast doesn't include sunshine anytime soon!

Even the ducks have moved to higher ground, their hanging around our place.

Flip Flop Door Mat

What do you do with a stack of flip flops and a package of poly twine?

You make a flip flop door mat!!!!!

It took a couple of hours to stitch them all together. It turned out pretty good.

They are releasing water from the lake but it's still rising.
