A Day in the Life

This morning we had to return our RedBox movies. We also stopped by tractor supply and did a little shopping. We bought a small 2 gallon electric air compressor. It claims to do 120 PSI. We haven't used it et, but will soon find out if it will work for us. They were on sale and only had one left. We have decided it would be much easier to have our own compressor so we don't have to spend time looking for the air at the stations.

We haven't seen anymore deer. This is our current camp site.

Our view is great. In the following picture you will notice a dirt trail. This is a trail that the deer follow thru the park.

We are spending most of our time indoors due to the terrible heat. Dawn is suffering with cluster headaches once again and the extreme heat is NOT helping.

Cooper Lake SP

We pulled out of Lake O’ the Pines; Brushy Creek camp ground about 9:30 Wednesday morning and drove to Sulphur Springs where we are staying at Cooper Lake SP, South Sulphur Unit. We arrived about 12:30 and found a nice shaded site and set up camp. Our cost per night is $18.00.

The problem with the nice shaded site, it’s kinda down in a hole and there isn’t any TV reception. Oh well, we can live without TV as long as we have 50 AMP and some shade. We’ve rented a few RedBox movies to keep us entertained for a few days.

This park is full of wildlife. On our morning walk we saw a momma deer and her small baby. A few minutes later we noticed another deer that was much larger.

The dogs seem to be adjusting to the travel. We have a raised bed for them in the back seat of the truck so they see out the windows. We travel very far before everyone is sound asleep.

Doing Chores

Thanks to all our blog family for all your comments. It has taken a long time to get to this point. We are now living a dream.

This morning we have been taking care of a few chores. We drove to Marshall, TX to do some laundry. We are getting things organized. It has been fun looking for things we knew that we had but couldn't remember where we put it!

We have a great site and enjoy the large pines. It is very hot and we aren't spending too much time outside.

We're Full-timers

Well it is official! We are now full-timers.
We are currently residence of Lake O’ The Pines. We have a beautiful site under the large pines. Our site is nice and level with a 30 AMP hook up. We arrived Wednesday and we are now relaxing and taking as many naps as we want.

It has been a real whirl wind getting to this point. We spent the past month rushing around to get everything done and feeling like we didn’t have a moment to spare. But now we have all the time in the world.  We are going to spend a week catching our breath.  We've taken a lot of naps!!!
We can aren't able to get our air card to work in the park, so we rove to Jefferson to the DQ for a treat and access.

We Did It!

We have hit the road! We are currently at Lake Lavon not far from where we started. We still have a few loose ends to wrap up before we head out. We are here until tomorrow morning. We will then be moving on to Lake O Pines for a week. We've got to get busy for now so we can get on the road.

Haven't Left Yet

We didn't leave today as planned. We still have a few things to wrap up here. My favorite uncle (Q.B) pasted away on Monday at 77 years old. He has been fighting cancer for the last year. His memorial service is scheduled for Saturday. My brother has asked to stay in the area so we could attend his daughters graduation party on Sunday.  We will be pulling out of here on this weekend for sure. Looks like we will be staying local for a little while.

Let me just say that we are two very tired fat girls. We have been working our butts off ( we wished it was that easy). Today we made good progress and I am here to tell you that when we do pull out of here and find us a spot to park, that I'm going to park my big ole butt and rest for awhile.
