Christmas Visitors

Rockport, Texas
Weather Conditions; Cloudy, 57 degrees

We sure hope that everyone had a great Christmas. We did.

My son drove down from Oklahoma with his girl-friend and her teenage daughter.

They arrived Christmas morning.

Dawn spent two days cooking a big Christmas meal. She cooked ham, turkey, fruit salad, candied yams, rolls, cheesy potatoes, shrimp, corn casserole, coconut pie, cranberry cake, lemon pound cake and pecan bars.

After opening gifts and having lunch the kids went back to their hotel for a nap.

We had plenty of leftovers.

This is the first Christmas we’ve spent with my son in a long time.

On Saturday we drove over to Port Aransas and had lunch. We filled our stomachs with pizza from the buffet at Port A Pizzeria.

We were able to catch a shot of a few dolphins playing in the water near the ferry.

We visited the beach. It was windy but we spent some time enjoying the warm weather.

We strolled through one of the souvenir stores on the island.

We also visited the Big Tree and drove around the area to site see.

Afterwards we stopped at Dairy Queen for ice cream.

The kids returned the following day for lunch. We served a mexican food lunch.

Dawn and I made enchiladas and rice. We also had chips and cheese dip.

The kids went to the Rockport Aquarium and the Maritime Museum.

The kids had to leave on Monday morning. We hated to see them go so soon.

We really enjoyed our visit with them.
